Dirt City Motorplex ensures Sportsman short-course racing will have the support of MORR (Midwest Off-Road Racing) as well as the Lucas Oil Midwest Short-Course League.
Both rounds of racing scheduled for late July, 2019 will be included in the season-long points-battle for all ten Sportsman classes.
From the time the Lena Motorsports Club was created to the ground breaking ceremony to the announcement of the first event on the property, only eight months have passed. During that time, the off-road short course .75-mile long layout as well as the spectator hill have been sculpted into the former Wisconsin farmland. In less than eighteen months from conception to the first race, a unique group of business people and enthusiasts have performed an incredible feat that is ensuring the vision becomes reality.
“Even before July 27-28 date was publicly announced, the Lena Motorsports Club was working to insure the first event at Dirt City was included in some form with points series,” noted Don Demeny – Lena Motorsports Club Board Member.
Working with the Bill Smith from Lucas Oil, USAC as well as MORR, continues to be a great experience. Everyone is working together to build an even bigger and better Sportsman short-course community in the Upper Midwest. Even though snow has arrived in Wisconsin, the Dirt City Group is preparing for Spring when the outside work will continue. This will ensure the first event at the facility is a success.
